We use a highly flexible titanium alloy developed for eyeglasses in Sabae, Fukui, the "holy place for eyeglasses," with our uniquely advanced processing technology and special material procurement capabilities.

By applying rotary cold forging (swaging) to eyeglass parts processing technology, we have achieved incredible strength that far exceeds the origin of the material.

Evaluation test results by the Bicycle Industry Promotion Association Technology Research Institute show that the tensile strength is at least the same as steel and stainless steel, and the repeated bending strength is more than three times as high. It is also about 60% lighter than steel or stainless steel!

These titanium spokes are made from the high-grade titanium alloy material used in Fukui Prefecture's specialty glasses, and have been tuned for bicycles.

This is a lightweight, high-strength product made in Japan with a pale metallic luster.

Development philosophy

Aiming to create the world's strongest spokes, as the head of the R&D department at Bikkuri Lab, I worked with Sanwa Kikai Co., Ltd. as a manufacturing consultant to create a titanium spoke for bicycles called Magic Titanium.

I myself have experience in 4X (four-cross, downhill, trial, street, dirt jump, piste, and cross-country) as the director of a bicycle club and research group during my university days.
He has also won the Four Cross Mountain Bike Division in Fukui Prefecture.

During my university days, I decided on a research topic and researched bicycles, and ever since then I have been thinking about creating the strongest spokes.
From the idea in 2006, it took three years of research and development starting in 2019, and it was finally completed.

The spokes were certified as the world's strongest spokes by the Osaka Bicycle Industry Promotion Association in tensile strength tests and bending strength tests in accordance with JIS standards.

Product options

  • The length and thickness can be bespoke (full order).
  • It can be made into various shapes such as single butt, double butt, and straight.
  • The standard thickness is head → φ2.2 → φ2.0 → #14 or #15 screw.
  • The straight part of Φ2.0 can be changed to Φ1.4, 1.6, 1.8, etc.
  • It is also compatible with straight pull and J bend.
  • You can choose from three types of threaded parts: #14, #15, and non-threaded.

◆The dimensions from the common head to the straight part are tapered from φ2.2.
